We’ve got some exciting news to share… our Mini Vic the Vegan Caterpillar Cakes have won a Great Taste 1-Star Award!
We’re incredibly proud to see Mini Vic recognised by the Great Taste judges, especially as these little caterpillar cakes were created so more people can join in the joy of a delicious chocolate treat.
What did the judges think?
The judges had some lovely things to say about Mini Vic, including that the product looks and tastes like a mainstream favourite.
They praised the tasty chocolate, visually appealing appearance and the balance between the sponge and creamy layer, describing the cakes as tasting high quality.
For us, that’s a particularly lovely bit of feedback. We want our free-from treats to be something everyone around the table can enjoy, without feeling like anyone is missing out.
Like the rest of the Lazy Day range, Mini Vic is gluten-free, milk-free, egg free and vegan, and made in our dedicated nut-free bakery.

Winning a Great Taste Award is a brilliant achievement for our team here in Scotland, from developing the recipe to baking and hand-decorating every Mini Vic.
Most importantly, we love knowing that a cake made with different dietary requirements in mind can still deliver on the things that matter most: great taste, great texture and plenty of chocolate!
