Autumn is officially here! The days are getting shorter, the jumpers are coming back out, and suddenly staying in on a Friday night sounds much more appealing than going out.

While we might be sad to say goodbye to summer, there’s plenty to love about this time of year. So, grab a cuppa, get cosy and discover five reasons we’re looking forward to autumn at Lazy Day.

1. Cosy Nights Are Back

There’s something about a dark autumn evening that makes staying in feel that little bit better. Put on your comfiest pyjamas, find a new series to binge (or rewatch an old favourite), grab a blanket and settle in.

Of course, no cosy night is complete without snacks. Our Millionaire’s Shortbread, Chocolate Tiffin or Salted Caramel Crispies make a pretty good addition to the snack selection, if we do say so ourselves.

2. Hot Drinks Pair Well With a Snack

Iced coffee season, we loved you, but it’s time to put the kettle on.

Whether you’re a tea, coffee or hot chocolate person, autumn is the season when a hot drink becomes essential. And there’s always room for something sweet on the side.

We’re particularly partial to a coffee and Millionaire’s Shortbread combination, but we’ll let you find your own favourite pairing.

3. Autumn Walks... Followed by a Treat

Crisp mornings, crunchy leaves and that first hint of chill in the air. Autumn walks are hard to beat, especially when there’s a warm drink waiting for you at the end.

Pop one of your favourite Lazy Day treats in your bag for a mid-walk pick-me-up, or save it for when you get home and the kettle goes on.

4. It’s the Season for Getting Together

Summer doesn’t get to have all the fun. Autumn brings plenty of reasons to get friends and family together, from weekend coffee dates and Sunday catch-ups to Halloween parties and cosy evenings at home.

If you’re hosting, having treats that can be enjoyed by people with different dietary requirements can make things that little bit easier. Our range is gluten-free, milk-free, egg-free and suitable for vegans, so more people can join in the joy.

5. Halloween Is Just Around the Corner

We couldn’t talk about autumn without mentioning Halloween!

Whether you go all out with decorations and costumes or your idea of celebrating is watching a slightly spooky film from the safety of the sofa, it’s the perfect excuse to stock up on treats.
